SuperATV Honda Pioneer 520 4” Portal Gear Lift (2024)

SuperATV Honda Pioneer 520 4” Portal Gear Lift

Gear down and go big with performance you didn’t know was possible by upgrading to SuperATV’s 4” GDP Portal Gear Lift on your Honda Pioneer 520. It gives you 4” of lift and helps you take back your torque with a 15% or 30% gear reduction, so no matter where you ride, you’ll be unstoppable. You get your choice of cast or billet aluminum housing and you can opt for dual idler bearings to take strength over the top. Whatever you choose, you’ll soon realize there’s no trail too intimidating when you’re rolling on GDP.

What Is a Dual Idler®?: Perfection takes time. After years of research and development, we’ve made our dual idler gear portals unlike any other. By placing a second idler gear in the portal box, the load gets spread over twice as much surface area for more reliable torque transfer and the strongest gear set you can get. Two idler gears don’t do a thing if they’re not mated perfectly, though. Precision CNC grinding ensures ours do. Our gears are made from the industry’s toughest 9310 steel alloy. Didn’t think dual idlers mattered? With GDP’s quality and experience, they finally do.

Perfect for Any Rider: If you thought mudding was fun, just wait until you try it with a 30% gear reduction on Honda Pioneer 520 portals. With bigger tires and more torque, you’ll chew through the thick mud that used to slow you down. Our 30% gear reduction is great everywhere, but if you want to maintain more top speed on your UTV, go with 15%. It gives you punchy power without sacrificing your top end.

A Gear Reduction That Protects Your Drivetrain: With portal lifts, the gear reduction is placed in the hub instead of in the transmission. This means your drivetrain doesn’t have to work as hard, so those important components will last longer. Of all the benefits of a portal gear lift, reduced stress on your axles, differential, prop shaft, and transmission is definitely at the top of the list.

Strength Through and Through: We’ve spent years studying, manufacturing, and testing portals. So we know what it takes to make or break them. That’s why you won’t find housings or backing plates stronger than what we use for our GDP portals. You get the choice of cast or billet aluminum housings to go with your 5/16” advanced alloy backing plates. No matter what, you get unmatched strength and reliability.

  • Our housings are reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow
  • Advanced steel alloy backing plates are stronger than chromoly
  • Enhance with Portal Blood—gear oil formulated for GDP Portals
  • There are no gimmicks and no vents because vents do more harm than good—we know because we tested them

Advanced Gaskets, Seals, and Bearings:

Our portals use:

  • Advanced gaskets and O-rings with excellent oil resistance and low deterioration rates
  • A sealed input gear and double-lipped output seal
  • 100% sealing coverage throughout so you can forget about oil leaks
  • Double-angular contact output bearings to prevent premature wear
  • Roller idler and drive bearings to maintain perfect gear meshing
