New favorite alert! This Mississippi Sin Grits Casserole is a new favorite at our house. I made this a few weeks ago and we both fell in love with this dish. All of the flavors of ourfavorite dipin a cheesy grits casserole. Ham, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, grits, chicken broth, butter, eggs, and green onions. SO good! One bite and you will be blown away. If you’ve never tried grits, this dish is sure to make you a fan! This casserole is great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. All you need is some biscuits and fruit and you are set!

How to Make Mississippi Sin Grits Casserole

This dish is very easy to make. In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Slowly stir in grits. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, covered, 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and butter; stir until melted. Stir in sour cream. Slowly stir in eggs until blended. Stir in chopped ham. Pour grits mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Heat oven to 350ºF and bake uncovered. Garnish baked casserole with chopped green onions.

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

  • In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Slowly stir in grits. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, covered, 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

  • Add cream cheese, 2 cups cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, hot sauce, and butter; stir until melted. Stir in sour cream. Slowly stir in eggs until blended. Stir in diced ham.

  • Transfer grits to prepared dish. Sprinkle with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.

  • Bake, uncovered, 40 to 45 minutes. Garnish cooked casserole with chopped green onions.
