How to Make Mississippi Sin Grits Casserole
This dish is very easy to make. In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Slowly stir in grits. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, covered, 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Add cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and butter; stir until melted. Stir in sour cream. Slowly stir in eggs until blended. Stir in chopped ham. Pour grits mixture to a baking dish. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Heat oven to 350ºF and bake uncovered. Garnish baked casserole with chopped green onions.

Mississippi Sin Grits Casserole – ham and cheese grits casserole. All the flavors of our favorite party dip combined with cheesy grits! SO good! We love this casserole for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Grits, chicken broth, eggs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, cheddar, cream cheese, sour cream, butter, and ham. Ingredients:
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups quick cook grits
- ½ cup butter
- 1 (8-oz) package cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2½ Tbsp hot sauce
- 1½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1½ lb cooked chopped ham
- 3 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large saucepan, bring chicken broth to a boil. Slowly stir in grits. Reduce heat to medium-low; cook, covered, 5 to 7 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Add cream cheese, 2 cups cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, hot sauce, and butter; stir until melted. Stir in sour cream. Slowly stir in eggs until blended. Stir in diced ham.
Transfer grits to prepared dish. Sprinkle with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
Bake, uncovered, 40 to 45 minutes. Garnish cooked casserole with chopped green onions.
