International Business Machines Corp (IBM) is another leading company making its mark in the AI sector. IBM was an early mover in AI with Watson, the ML system which beat two human champions on the American quiz show Jeopardy! in 2011. Since then, IBM has invested in bringing AI to businesses. IBM is a provider of information technology products and services including systems hardware and software, infrastructure, hosting, and consulting services across more than 150 countries. IBM’s R&D arm focuses on diverse areas such as security, artificial intelligence, hybrid cloud, and quantum computing to help clients in difficult challenges in various industries that include healthcare, financial services, automotive, energy, and pharmaceutical industries. It works with its business units and clients through global labs on near-and mid-term innovations.
